Interlibrary Loan Policy

The Coke County Library considers Interlibrary Loan an essential service for library patrons in rural areas.

The Coke County Library will lend books from the Coke County collection whenever possible. Items that will not be loaned include the following: audio-visual materials; reference materials; genealogical materials; rare, archival, manuscript or fragile items.

Up to four items will be requested for local and TexShare patrons in good standing. The Coke County Library will not handle requests for audio-visual materials; reference materials; genealogical materials; or rare, archival, manuscript or fragile items.

A loan period for Coke County materials will be 21 days. Renewals may be requested by phone.

To date, interlibrary loan expenses have been absorbed by the book sale funds as a service to Coke County patrons. Should the requests become excessive, the patron requesting materials will be charged whatever postage and fees are necessary to obtain the requested materials.
